Five days before her parents return from their holiday, Eugenia discovers that she has negligently killed their pet fish. Eugenia would like to explain why it's not her fault things turned out the way they did.

Circa 1000AD, a violent storm has passed. Two exiled Sri Lankan siblings and two Viking brothers find themselves shipwrecked on the same desolate island. While each pair is wary of the other, they are forced to confront their own sibling relationships, and the creeping suspicion that they may not have survived the storm.
